Look what I found on my doorstep?

My pal send me lots of goodies. A skein of organic wool in a tweedy pink along with many other goodies including cow corn holders, a CD, a funny food book, cow corn on the cob holders, some chocolate, some very interesting jelly bellies, candles and incense. It was all very summer themed. Thank you wherever you are.

WHEN I RETURNED FROM VACATION ON FRIDAY I FOUND A PACKAGES FROM MY SECRET PAL ON MY DOORSTEP.

THIS IS THE SECOND PACKAGE SHE HAS SENT ME AND I LOVE IT!!!

SHE SENT ME SOME WONDERFUL YARNS - I ESPECIALLY LOVE THE ORGANIC COTTON - IT IS SO SOFT! AND THE DEBBIE BLISS IS NOT ONLY SOFT BUT THE PERFECT COLOR!

THE LIP GLOSS AND HAND CREAM WILL BOTH BE USED OFTEN! AND THE TRINKET BOX IS SO CUTE!

Here’s her Summer Time Memory (I copied and pasted from her blog.)

That is a good question. I think my fave summer time memory is a time back when I was about 8 or 9 years old and it was a time where I had no worries in the world, and we used to go out in the neighborhood and collect caterpillars. I’d collect some and put them in glass jars with holes in the lid, so they could breathe, because I wanted to see them turn into butterflies. I can’t recall any of them turning into butterflies, but I do remember the act of collecting & saving them!

It is finally here! The month is July and I am going on vacation, tomorrow for a full week. I am so ready!! This has been a busy non-stop hard working year and I need some down me time. Just family, laughter and fun, and lots of naps, lots of naps!!

Before I head out I want to share another cute gift from my spoiler! She sent me two cute bags for my knitting. One is a needle holder and the other is perfect for hold my dishcloths when I travel. And they have cats on them. Whats not to like!!

Time to go, gotta run, lots to do today, I am going on vacation!!

OMG my BFF totally spoiled me. sorry to much time with small children. but wow my partner spoiled me rotten this month. as you can see from the picture which really does not do it all justice she went way over board.

she really found out things about me . she sent me a book from my amazon wishlist the "sleeping beauty proposal". a lovely margarita lip balm and some very pretty stitch markers with margarita glasses

some baby boo in the most gorgeous shade called apples and berries which is defiantely going tomake socks for me just me and noone else. a skein of the softest yarn it is niji and a blend of bison cahmere and silk. she sent me some hand made wine glass fipflops which are really cute.

a wonderful kit from buffalo gold, bison yarn to make a double moss stitch scarf. a a drop spindle kit. i ahd bought one recently and did not get on well with it made from a door knob and dowel despite trying many time it was not for me. however this one is great i love the weight and have been successful with it nearly from the start.

so to tangled yarns thankyou a wonderful package and thansk really is not enough.

The Summer Of Love Swap has gotten off to a great start. Lots of participants and great stuff being exchanged. My swap spoilee had been just incredible to me. She has sent me 3 books, 9 skeins of bamboo (8 in dark brown to make something with, 1 in blue to practice with), a skein of chocolate brown cotton for making a dishcloth, some really yummy beads, especially the cute fishy ones that are glass, and a wonderful recipe and card! Wow and thank you is all I can say! Here are pictures of all my goodies.

I was so excited when I got home last week to a LONG week and had received my package! It's awesome! :)

2 skeins of AMAZING GREEN sock yarn, a HUGE box of lemonheads, dove chocolate, and the best lip shine I have EVER used!! I stopped in to Bath and Body Works the other day and picked up a few more tubes of the lip shine! It's Lime Mentha and it's awesome!

This is the great package I received this week from my secret pal.

As you can see I received some great goodies! Knitting supplies, note pad/pen, a lace scarf pattern, yummy yarn and I also received an awesome CD she made for me with some of my favorite artists! What a thoughtful gift!

I also received a cat toy for my kitty - which she loves!

Close up of the Berocco Ultra Alpaca - this picture doesn't do justice to the color of the yarn. It is so beautiful! All of my favorite colors in one skein! Can't wait to try the pattern she sent - it is for a beautiful lace scarf. I mentioned on my blog that I wanted to try lace and she sent me this pattern that looks like something good for me to start with!

My wonderful secret pal sent me loads of yarn in beautiful shades of blue and teal!! 6 skeins of Mission 1824 and two co-ordinating skeins of Colinette mohair, wow! I need to figure out a project in which to use them altogether :)

all i can so is wow wow wow. my partner spoiled rotten. with 6 balls of a beautiful new zealand wool in a s'mores color way and 2 great patterns to go with. along with that she sent me the most amazing sock yarn in a jewel tone of blue and green, and accompanying pattern. along with that she sent me some wonderful ebony circular needles, a s'mores fridge magnet and a great s'mores cd. also a lovely sock project knitting bag that has not made the picture as i already have it in use in the car, along with many other beautiful things. what an amazing package. i really feel spolied.

A Question of Cost

I was chatting with a friend last night, and it made me think about something. I know that $30 per package may be a lot right now for some people, given the state of things (gas prices, etc.), so here's my idea. I'm leaving the price minimum at $30/package, but if you have yarn in your stash, feel free to use it AS LONG AS it's something that is in good condition and is something that you know your pal would like. Just be sure to know how much the yarn is at retail cost, and go from there! I want to make sure that people who want to join can, and that everyone has a good time!

Okay ... here is the official post about the swap, rules, etc.

Swap Details

- This is a 3 month long swap. You will send one package to one partner for each month of the summer - June, July, August. Each package must include one skein of yarn, as well as other goodies. This is also a secret swap, so feel free to build the suspense until the last package goes out!

- You need to have a blog, and post at least once a week, to participate. Also, the minimum spending on each package is $30, no including shipping. That is a commitment of $90 over the three month period. *see THIS post for another bit on this* You will need to contact your pal at least once every other week, and post to your blog once a week as well.

- US/Canadian participants only.

- This swap is limited to 50 participants. Sign ups will go from today (May 7th) until May 29th, or until we reach 50 people in the swap.

I've got a new swap that will be starting soon. It's called "The Summer of Yarn Love" Swap, and this is an on going, secret pal type, yarn loving swap. It will last from June to September, in order to share the love of both yarn and the warm weather!

Here's a few things about the swap ....
